Paper cup phone

it's very analog way to communicate to each other.

However, everyone knows what does do and how it works.

What if I use some recording input and random-play out put in same unit?

lots of thing will happen.

Kinetic light installation

An array of emergency beacon lights interacts with visitors, tracking their movement through the space, creating an immersive and playful experience.

The installation exploits a transfer of technologies from existing industrial products, and is orchestrated in real-time by a bespoke control system, which uses tracking information from the cameras to coordinate a highly responsive behavior

the bottom line is really awsome!!!!

interactive installation

This is a portable interactive installation using a non-traditional user interface. The installation represents a game with a grid of LEDs that can be embedded as a carpet into the physical space. A pattern of lights is generated dynamically, that change in real time according to pedestrians movement over the carpet. In this case the pedestrians become participants that influence the generative process and make the pattern of LEDs change with the change of the location of one or more participants. The aim was to create a novel urban experience that invites social interactions with the interface among different people as friends, observes or strangers.

The LED-s Urban Carpet consists of two layers: the first is a grid of light-emitting diodes (LED-s), which turn on or off depending on a computer program, written in Processing, which defines the behavior of each light at every instant. The program use a Boid algorithm based on Craig Reynolds’ rules, to simulate a flock of seagulls that follow the pedestrian. It gives the whole experience a recreational and fun atmosphere. The location of each pedestrian over the carpet is recognized by a second layer: a grid of pressure pad sensors, which is located behind the grid of LEDs. Both the LED and pressure pad layers are connected each one to one Arduino board; the first sends the user’s input to the computational program and, the second performs the outputs controlling seven LED Display Drivers M5054 (32 pins)

Stair interaction

A pair of surround sound headphones provides the feeling to be in between and you can even hear the direction into which the airplanes fly. You can choose your point of view in the city with a joystick. The person who stands on the stairs is captured by five proximity sensors which are right at the side of every step. A total of 50 leds should strengthen the contrast underground – above ground. These will shine only minimally if nobody stands on the stairs. If you enter the first step all leds become a little brighter, but they remain dim, because one is fictitiously underground. Only on the second step and therefore in the daylight all leds shine in full strength.

Stair

Not only technology but also shape that stair has can lead people to communication... I think...

appeel

Appeel is a virus spreading through interacting individuals.

Surfaces are covered by thousands of coloured stickers laid out in a grid. Peeling a sticker off leaves a white spot in the grid, people hence start individually and collectively changing its appearance. Once off the wall, the stickers ask to be sticked somewhere: people begin putting them on objects, walls, people, they collect them, they compose new images, they write messages. Slowly the little stickers spread, appearing further away from their source and occupying space.

Appeel inherits basic principles of interactivity and generativity applied to purely analogous means. Its immanent potential of penetrating regulated public and private space counterpoints its apparent plainness. The dot spreads with the promise to ironically mark its carrier as a symbol of sale and possession.

Umbrella

It’s very special feeling to listen to music on a rainy day. Rain, it makes people sentimental. Especially listening to music under an umbrella with a person you love gives us big emotion. The dome structure of umbrellas allows sound to be more concentrated, and a handle of umbrella could be a great part for controlling the music. Sometimes people spin an umbrella unconsciously. If you spin this umbrella to left or right, the music will move forward (right turn) or reverse (left turn). Unfortunately even though it is not raining, you still can use this umbrella. You can just put it in the corner of your living room with cradle, and then also you can enjoy the music from speakers of cradle.
